Busy Saturday

Today was very busy. My office (Big Brothers Big Sisters) was having an all-day event. Well turns out Jay got me... (drum rolls!!!)

TULIPS!!! My favorite flower :-)

He picked me up around six, and as I opened the car door, I saw them, waiting for me!

How awesome!?!?

Yet, it is not over! He also took me to the mall, and spoiled me! Once again :-)

Now, most sane people would think this is pretty amazing... I do to! 

But there's still more!

Jay spent the day with his mom... well she too, got me gifts!

A BEAUTIFUL sweater, pants, and most of all chocolate! 

It's not just about the things though. It's realizing how much people care. 

I can't imagine my life without them!

The True Essence of Music

I am so thankful for music. It enables me to connect with people of all ages, cultures, and background.

Today, I went and played cello at the Ann Arbor Hospice with Phyllis, the nicest and most interesting older lady you have aver met.

As we started playing, more and more residents showed up and suddenly we had our own little audience.

This was so special to me because for the first ime, I felt like our music mattered.

Thank you Phyllis, for opening my eyes to what music really should be about.

Two people need to be thanked for this Amazing Thursday evening dinner.

First, Cindy: Thank you so much for the GREAT idea. I love living so close by that we can decide within the span of a day to have dinner!!!

Second, thank you Scott for taking us all out, once again!!! It was simply amazing!

On top of that, I hear you have brought back some white chocolate from Germany!

Coffee

Jay doesn't really drink coffee...

Saturday, he wakes up before me (extremely rare occurrence) and makes me coffee!!!

The Greatest People on Earth

For those people who do so much for me:

I don't ever want to forget all those magical moments where I feel as though I am the luckiest person alive.
I want to look back five, ten, fifty years from now and remember those people and all they did for me.

So here is to these people!

Instead of relating the (amazing) events of the day, here's an e-mail I sent when I got back home...

Oh my god!!!!
I just had the BEST morning of my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We go shopping (how awesome right?????) and don't really find anything.. until Van Maur.
There we find jeans. and I mean FANCY jeans. We narrow it down to two AMAZING pairs.
Can't decide.
BAM!
Your mom surprises me with BOTH pairs.
Two new pairs of jeans. At once!!! And they're like Brandon-priced jeans!!!!!!!
Oh wait until you see them!
--> I came back home, lay my jeans on my bed, and started screaming of joy.
Good thing I was alone!
Oh and after the jeans shopping spree, we looked for stuff for your mom for Florida.
I loved shopping with her. I pulled out some stuff for her that she loved (and purchased!)
Then we went to Cafe Zola. So good. I love talking with your mom!
